When opening item data (HTML/GIF/JPEG, etc.) from the Cache Explorer to a Web browser, the Web browser would normally come to the forefront (active) and the data would be displayed, but there was a phenomenon where it would not come to the forefront. These problems have been corrected.
Controller Changes and Corrections When using Internet Explorer 6, dial-up connections could not automatically change proxy settings even if the "Automate Web browser proxy settings" checkbox was checked in the WorldNet V4 preferences. We have changed it so that the proxy settings can be changed even on dial-up. In the proxy server settings in the Preferences, the "HTTP Proxy " port numbers that can be set were "1024-65535", but now they can be set from "1-65535". When connecting to the Internet via a leased line and Remote Access Service was not installed, a "RASAPI32.DLL load error" would appear and the controller would not start. In this case, the problem can be resolved by going to Control Panel - Network and installing Remote Access Service. This phenomenon does not occur when using a dial-up connection. Translation results were sometimes garbled. This problem may be caused by the browser's character code set switching process, and can be resolved by resizing the browser window and redrawing the page, but we have addressed this issue when the page still does not display properly. When using Internet Explorer 4.0, some cache contents could remain even if the "Clear Web browser cache on startup" option was enabled in the controller preferences. Pages with URL addresses greater than 512 bytes could not be translated, but now URL address pages with URL addresses greater than 512 bytes can be translated. When WorldNet V4 was started while the j-Beijing Controller of our j-Beijing product was running, a Communication Server warning was displayed and the proxy settings in the browser disappeared when the product was closed. To address this phenomenon, we have corrected the problem so that the j-Beijing Controller and WorldNet V4 cannot be started at the same time. When using Netscape Communicator 4.05, the automatic proxy setting of the Web browser did not work. This phenomenon is believed to be caused by some internal changes since Netscape Communicator 4.05. To address this issue, we have modified Netscape Communicator 4.05 so that automatic proxy settings are still available. Netscape Communicator 4.5 can now be used with WorldNet V4. Internet Explorer 5 can be used with WorldNet V4.
Changes and modifications to Cache Explorer and Communication Server
When starting Cache Explorer, if the cache contents were corrupted or not saved properly, the initialization process could not be performed properly. This phenomenon has been addressed. During the automatic cache explorer navigation, if a multimedia file (WAV, MID, etc.) was attached to a page to be downloaded with an anchor tag, the process would sometimes fail to proceed after the data was downloaded. This phenomenon has been addressed. When using Netscape Navigator (Communicator) as a browser on a communication server, the HTML tag <POST> did not always work. This phenomenon has been addressed.

Translation engine changes and corrections
When translating a mail address, a part of the mail address was sometimes lost. This phenomenon was addressed. Note: If you are using WorldNet V4 included with j.londonn2000, this correction is not necessary.

To obtain the program, click "Start Download" at the end of this page.
The file name is initially " ;wnv4up.exe/wnjsup.exe", so do not change it.
After the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file " ;wnv4up.exe/wnjsup.exe" directly from Explorer or other application program.
A dialog box will appear asking you to specify where to unzip the file.
Caution:
In this dialog, the decompression destination is initially ". C:\Program Files\WorldNet If you have installed WorldNet V4 in a location other than this path name, please specify the actual path name again.
After specifying the extract location, click the OK button to start the installation.
How to download and install WorldNet V4 included with j・London
To obtain the program, click "Start Download" at the end of this page.
The file name is initially " ;wnv4up.exe", so do not change it.
When the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file " ;wnv4up.exe" directly from Explorer or other application program.
A dialog box will appear asking you to specify where to unzip the file.
Caution:
In this dialog, the default decompression destination is ". C:\Program Files\WorldNet ", so if the path name is ", then the path name will be ". The path name where j.London is installed is " WorldNet " (for standard installation, it is C:\jLondon4\WorldNet ) to match the pathname of your installation.
