This revised version corrects the following phenomena and also corrects the previous contents distributed from the 06/06/29 version to the 04/06/03 version.
- Fixed a freeze symptom when opening Help on the IME toolbar when using the "Chinese-Japanese Dictionary Lookup" function.
06/06/29 version
This revised version corrects the following phenomena and also corrects the previous versions distributed from the 05/08/10 version to the 04/06/03 version.
- Fixed a problem in which an error message would appear and the program would exit when starting "Explorer" with the IME (input system) of ChineseWriter7 set in "Default Language".
05/08/10 version
This revised version corrects the following phenomena and also corrects the contents of the previous version distributed in the 04/06/03 version.
- Kanji Pinyin Conversion Problem → Fixed a symptom that the content of the Pinyin display area disappears when the size of the Pinyin font or Kanji font with Pinyin is changed in the settings.
04/06/03 version
This revised version includes the following fixes to address the following phenomena
- Pinyin conversion problem -> Some characters could not be registered when registering a dictionary of traditional Chinese characters such as BIG5-IME.
- Pinyin conversion problem -> Changed the order of candidates for shortened input.
- Pinyin conversion problem -> Some conversion dictionaries were changed.
- C-TIME problem → A problem sometimes occurred when using ATOK for Japanese input with C-TIME.
- Conversion problem -> Changed to be able to convert Euro symbols between UNICODE and GB18030.
How to download and install
ChineseWriter7 - How to install and use the modified version
For those who have installed any of the modified modules from the 06/06/29 version to the 04/06/03 version
If you have already additionally installed using the correction module "cwv7up.exe" at the time of distribution of any of the 06/06/29 to 04/06/03 versions, please uninstall the correction module distributed in the past first by performing the following operations before applying this correction module.
- Click [Start] - [Control Panel] - [Add or Remove Programs].
For 98 series OS, click [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [Add or Remove Applications].
- Click "ChineseWriter7 Maintenance" from the list of program names displayed.
- Click the [Change/Remove] button to uninstall (remove) the previously installed modules.
After uninstalling, please install using the latest version of the modified module.
If you have not uninstalled the previously installed old hotfix module, you will get the message "Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all its components? and a confirmation screen for uninstalling the old correction module will appear. In this case, click the "OK" button to uninstall the old correction module. After uninstallation, start "Setup.exe" again and install it again. |
- Click "Start Download" for "ChineseWriter7 - Change and Correction Files" at the back of this page.
- Set the download destination to your desktop or a folder "My Documents" where you can easily find it later.
Download the file to your computer and save it. Do not run the program or open the file without downloading it.
- Do not change the file name, which is initially " ;cwv7up.exe".
- When cwv7up.exe has finished downloading, close the Internet Explorer site page.
- Move to the folder where the downloaded file is saved.
If you downloaded the file to your desktop, it will be on your desktop.
- Double-click " ;cwv7up.exe" directly.
- When you double-click the downloaded cwv7up.exe, a dialog box will appear asking you to specify where to unzip the file.
- After specifying the decompression destination, click the OK button to start decompression, and a new folder "cwv7m" will be created in the C drive.
- After the decompression is finished, launch Windows Explorer (you can also click on it from My Computer). Open the newly created "cwv7m" folder on the C drive.
- In the "cwv7m" folder, click on the Setup.exe in the "cwv7m" folder.
- The ChineseWriter7 - Change and Correction File installer will start. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the installation.
In the installation screen, click [Next] > [Install] > [Finish].
