00/02/28 modified version
Windows 2000/XP was released as the successor OS to Windows NT4.0, and as an OS, it has improved features such as support for multiple languages compared to Windows NT4.0.
However, due to this specification change, our Chinese input software "Chinese Writer V5" can no longer be installed properly.
This homepage provides the necessary procedures to use Chinese Writer V5 on Windows 2000/XP and the corresponding modules; Windows 2000/XP users should refer to the download and installation instructions to correct the problem.

Attention.

  1. Only Windows 2000/XP (including SP2) users need to modify the modules on this page; Windows 95/98/NT4.0 and other non-Windows 2000/XP users do not need to modify the modules on this page.
Please note that the distributed modules are not compatible with Windows Vista.
  2. Although the supported modules provided on this page are intended to support Windows 2000/XP, they also include the latest maintenance of Chinese Writer V5 as of February 28, 2000. Therefore, please do not modify the program using the Chinese Writer V5 correction program released as of February 28, 2000.
In the event that there are any future revisions of problems with Chinese Writer V5, we will do so from "Downloading the Latest Version of Chinese Writer V5".
  3. If the language bar system is installed in your Windows 2000/XP, you cannot use the IME selector and the language selector; please use the language bar system provided by Windows to switch the IME (input system).
(The IME switching method described in the Chinese Writer V5 manual is based on the multilingual indicator. You can use the IME Selector and Language Selector if you are using Windows without changing the multilingual indicator).

When switching IMEs, the system will change to a method where you click this [JP] button to switch to another language and then use the IME of the other language.
