    Chinese Writer 7&QUOT

    ; on September 24, 2003, we will offer an upgrade service

    to our registered users. We will start sending out the information to our users in mid-September.

    Main upgrade points:

    • Support for GB18030 code



      The GB18030 code, established as China's national standard code on March 17, 2000, is now supported. Chinese Chinese characters that could not be input or displayed with the existing GB2312 code can now be used. Note:

      Only two fonts, Mincho and Gothic, are compatible with GB18030 code. For input of extended characters, please use code input.

    • Fonts with pinyin


      A font that integrates pinyin and Chinese characters is provided, with tonal pinyin placed on top of the Chinese characters. Note:

      Font with Pinyin is available only for Mincho and Gothic in GB2312 code and Mincho and Gothic in CW Simplified code.

    • Fayin Trainer

    This is a utility that allows you to read text files created in GBK, BIG5, and CW codes in file units.
Notes on Version Upgrade

    The new version is installed in a different folder from the old version and has a different file structure .

    If you have registered words in the previous version, please make a backup of the dictionary before uninstalling the previous version .
    The backed-up dictionary can be merged into the new dictionary with the new version's user word transfer program.

    This product cannot be installed on a LAN server and used by multiple clients .
