We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the removal of the GB IME and BIG5 IME of ChineseWriterLT due to new Microsoft specifications after updating the OS to Windows 10 or executing automatic Windows program updates.
If the above problem occurs, please restore the ChineseWriterLT IME by performing the following operation.
When the input system of ChineseWriterLT is no longer displayed
Please try "any" of the following two operations.
(1) Adapt the IME reconfiguration program
[Operation Procedure]
1. Open the attached compressed file and save "IME-CWLT.ex" into the following J Beijing 7 (or J Beijing 7 Patent or J Beijing Personal 2) folder.
For 64bit version C:\Program Files（x86）\KODENSHA\ JBeijing7 (or JBeijingT for Beijing 7 Patent, Chinese_Personal2 for J Beijing Personal 2)
For 32bit version C:\Program Files\ KODENSHA\ JBeijing7 (For Beijing 7 Patent: JBeijingT, For J Beijing Personal 2: Chinese_Personal2)
*Detailed procedure of the above operation
①Right click the Start button to start "Explorer".
(2) Left-click "Windows (or "C drive")" of "PC" and click
(displayed) "Program Files (x86)"
(3) Left-click "KODENSHA" and click
(4) Left-click "JBeijing7 (for Beijing 7 Patent: JBeijingT, for J Beijing Personal 2: Chinese_Personal2: Left-click "JBeijing7 (for Beijing 7 Patent: JBeijingT, for J Beijing Personal2: Chinese_Personal2)" and go to
⑥Open the compressed file attached to the e-mail and save "IME-CWLT.ex" in the above "JBeijing7 (for Beijing 7 Patent: JBeijingT, for J Beijing Personal2: Chinese_Personal2)" folder. folder above.
2. Rename the saved "IME-CWLT.exe" to "IME-CWLT.exe". (This is because ".exe" was not attachable, so we are renaming it and sending it to you.)
Double-click "IME-CWLT.exe" to start the ChineseWriterLT IME setup program. 4.
Click "OK" to execute the following setting process.
Follow the dialog box (guidance) that appears.
When the User Account Control message is displayed, click "Yes".
Click "Reset IME" -> Click "OK".
Click "Sign out" and then click "OK".
Sign in again, start up your PC, display the desktop screen, and check if the IME has been restored (see below).
Please refer to the following for the confirmation method. 1.
1) Check if ChineseWriter11 GB and BIG5 are displayed for Chinese (Simplified) and Chinese (Traditional) respectively in the "Language" setting of Windows, and check if any "Unavailable Items" remain.
① Click the [Start] button
② Click [Settings (gear icon)]
③ Click [Time and Language] - [Region and Language (upper left of screen)] - [Language]
④ Click Chinese (People's Republic of China)
⑤ Click [Options] and ChineseWriter LT (GB) is available. If [Unavailable Items] remains, click [Unavailable Items] - Click [Delete]
⑥ Click Chinese (Taiwan)
⑦ Click [Options] and check if ChineseWriter LT (BIG5) is available. If [Unavailable Items] is still there, click [Unavailable Items] - Click [Delete]. 2.
2) Start J Beijing 7 (or J Beijing 7 Patent or J Beijing Personal 2) Bilingual Editor, and check if the following settings are made in "Settings" - "Preferences" - "Input System" on the menu bar.
(*If the following settings are not set, click "▼", change to the following settings, and confirm with "OK")
Chinese: ChineseWriter LT (GB)
Chinese: ChineseWriter LT (BIG5)
Japanese: TSF:Microsoft IME etc.
(2) Reinstalling software

Uninstall J Beijing 7 (or J Beijing 7 Patent or J Beijing Personal 2) from the Control Panel.
