Misheard Words Series - Korean Version - Part 2

Today, I would like to share with you Part 2 of the "Words You Might Mishear" series!
Last night, I was watching a singing program on TV.
A male duo from Okinawa was singing a song called "Amma.
This "Ammaa" means mother in Okinawan dialect.
This "Ammaa" dialect, depending on how you listen to it, sounds like a certain Korean language.
It sounds like a certain Korean language, don't you think?
Yes, it does! It is the same word that appeared in our article on Mother's Day in Korea the other day.
엄마 (read: onma), which appeared in an article on Mother's Day in Korea the other day!
The word "엄마" also means mother.
Amma" and "onma
It is interesting to see how different languages refer to the mother in the same way.
We hope you enjoyed this series of misheard words!
Please look forward to the next installment!
