Avec.

Nowadays we say "couple," but back then, "avec" was a common way of saying "a couple.

I think it is almost a dead word now.

I have received a message that "avec...a couple..." is a very popular term!

I had never heard of "avec" in real life until I became a working adult.

There are some theories, but I heard that it was widely used until the late 1970s.

When I was a student, I used to buy "avec bread", which was a long, browned bread,

I didn't know that "avec" meant "couple," but I ate it alone.
