How to use "stick" in everyday situations Vol.1

Previously, we introduced expressions related to "stick" used in sports.
In this issue, we will take a look at three separate examples of "stick" expressions that were relatively minor in nature but are now used in a variety of everyday situations.
The first one is the title of a book about job interviews.

The introduction reads, "This book is about a Stick, but not as it relates to gymnastics."
This book is about a Stick, but not as it relates to gymnastics.
The word "stick" is also used in the book, so it seems safe to assume that the origin of the word "stick" is the landing of gymnastics.
Tip: In Japan, the word "interview" brings to mind an interview conducted by the mass media with a celebrity, but in the U.S., it is often used to mean an "interview" for college students who are about to graduate or for job seekers.
Please look forward to the next issue!
