We exhibited at "3rd AI & Artificial Intelligence EXPO" @ Tokyo Big Sight

The 3rd AI & Artificial Intelligence EXPO, where we exhibited from April 3 (Wed.) to April 5 (Fri.), 2019, was held at Tokyo Big Sight.
This is a specialized exhibition on AI and Artificial Intelligence, which has been attracting increasing attention in recent years for its applications.
The venue this time was the Ome Exhibition Hall of Tokyo Big Sight, and we had to get on and off at a different station from the one nearest Tokyo Big Sight.
I had done my research on the transfer system in advance and was well prepared!
But when we were about to change to a conventional train from Shinagawa station, there was a problem...(o-)
The train was suspended and there were many people on the platform!
The train was not coming, and the only other detour route was to take the bus, which was a very difficult way for me because I didn't know the area well.
(There is an outlet park and a Ferris wheel right in front of the venue.)
When I arrived at the venue, there was a huge crowd even though it was before the opening time!
From the sight of them, I realized that this exhibition is attracting attention from all kinds of industries as the largest AI specialized exhibition in Japan.
(The venue is crowded with many visitors!)
Entering the exhibition hall, we found many company booths lined up.
Now, where is our booth?
It was hard to find our booth due to the large hall and many people.
After 10 minutes of scurrying around looking for our booth, a familiar catalog caught my eye.
Finally, we found our booth!
(I found the Kohden booth♪)
At this exhibition, we introduced our neural machine translation "kode-AI".
With the development of neural networks, a technology in the AI industry, neural machine translation (NMT) has been attracting attention in recent years for its translation accuracy, and is expected to become a driving force in machine translation in the future.
Our development team is also working on NMT!
Visitors to our booth also seemed to be interested in the newly released kode-AI.
"How many languages does it support?"
Do you have a corpus for my area of expertise?
What is neural translation?
We received so many questions, such as "How many languages do you support?
Of all the questions, the one that everyone is most interested in is
"How is the accuracy of the translation?
What is the accuracy of the translation?
For those who are interested, we are now offering a trial version of the neural machine translation "kode-AI"!
The supported languages for the trial version are English to Japanese and Japanese to English.
The translation accuracy of English to Japanese is particularly good, and is said to be so good that even the G Corporation was surprised at the accuracy!
If you are interested in checking the accuracy of the free version, please feel free to contact us at
If you would like to check the accuracy of the translation, please contact us by using the [Inquiry Form] below.
Also, while visiting other exhibitors' booths, I found something interesting!
It is a solution to improve work efficiency with AR (= Augmented Reality).
It is said to "virtually augment" the world in front of you by displaying virtual visual information overlaid on real scenery.
It sounded very interesting, so I actually tried on a pair of special glasses (AR, to be precise). (To be precise, it is called an AR headset...) I was given a demonstration of the system!
The situation was at a manufacturing site.
I was a worker assembling parts.
The glasses I wore gave me the sensation that the CG was actually there.
In front of my eyes, there is a CG image of the assembly work being done.
I follow the same procedure as that image to perform the assembly.
In other words, I can check the assembly procedure visually and work hands-free.
(An image of the image seen when wearing the AR headset)
According to our research, this AR technology is also being applied to sports.
Wearing goggles that use your smartphone, you can defeat virtual monsters while in real space! Sounds fun!
For example, when trying to buy clothes online, I thought that if I could stand in front of my smartphone or tablet and virtually fit them, and get a more realistic sense of size and color, I would make fewer mistakes when shopping online (*^_^*).
We will reply to your questions during the exhibition, so please wait a little longer.
Thank you very much for stopping by our booth.
[Extra]
Right in front of the Tokyo Big Sight Ome Exhibition Hall, there is a theme park-type shopping mall called "Venus Fort.
I headed to this facility for lunch.
I was surprised when I entered! The space is so spacious that you would think that you are in Europe.
(They say the color of the sky changes every two hours.)
Since we visited during lunch time, we were not able to take our time to see the place, but the fantastic atmosphere was so wonderful that we would like to come back again.
